Hydrogen + Clean Energy with Connect Project Services
Over the last several years Connect Project Services has been involved in developing one of the largest new hydrogen facilities built in Alberta.
Not only are we involved in the direct engineering and design of the facility, we are also involved in supporting the construction engineering of this facility.

WHAT IS CLEAN ENERGY?
Clean energy is defined as energy generated through processes that do not contribute to atmospheric pollution. It also includes renewable energy sources that avoid incurring environmental debt through the of irreplaceable resources or causing substantial ecological harm. Although there is debate regarding the environmental impact of all energy production methods, clean specifically pertains to those methods that exhibit the least detrimental effects on the environment.
We acknowledge that clean hydrogen is experiencing significant political and business momentum, with a rapid proliferation of policies and projects globally. Ensuring a low-carbon, clean hydrogen supply is of paramount importance.
Current and future sourcing options include:
-
Grey hydrogen, produced from fuels;
-
Blue hydrogen, derived from fossil fuels in conjunction with carbon capture, utilization, and storage (CCUS);
-
Green hydrogen, generated from renewable sources.
The exploration of green hydrogen, produced using renewable electricity, is anticipated to experience substantial growth in the coming years, bolstered by numerous ongoing and forthcoming projects. Hydrogen sourced from renewables is technically viable today and is rapidly approaching economic competitiveness. Connect recognizes the essential synergies between hydrogen and renewable energy and strategically positioned to support the transition to these innovative clean energy sources.
